About

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Nicolás began his training in gymnastics at the age of five, competing nationally and internationally as a member of Argentina’s National Gymnastics team. At the age of 16, after several successful years as an elite athlete, his passion for the performing arts led him to enroll in the professional program of the National Circus School of Argentina where he received his training as an aerialist and hand-balancer. Enjoying the versatility of contemporary circus arts, Nico performed in several musicals, events, and a number of dance, circus and television shows. In 2006, the Argentinean Ministry of Culture recognized him with the Promising Young Talent award, and in 2007 he received the Artistic Excellence Award from the National Dance Institute. In 2015 he was awarded 1st place at the US Aerial Championship for his silks performance.

At the age of 18 he was honored to receive the Traub scholarship to attend Harvard University, an opportunity to focus on his academic interests and also expand his artistic training. In May 2013, upon graduating with honors with a BA in Biology and a minor in Global Health, Nico moved to NYC  and later Montreal to continue pursuing circus professionally. As a student at Ecole Leotard, directed by Viktor Fomine, he was coached by Yury Bozyan on hand-balancing and contortion, as well as Chloé Farah on aerials. Nicolas is a versatile performer with a repertoire that includes high-level acts on silks, dance-trapeze, straps, and hand-balancing.

Currently, aside from being a performer and instructor, he is also the manager of Volair Entertainment, a thriving company that gives international artists legal and technical assistance with handling O1 visa applications, as well as helping them connect with volunteer attorneys in the United States. Nico would like to thank all the people that have made it possible for him to get to where he is today. He has been honored to receive the Circo SOQ, Escuela de Circo Criollo, and Traub scholarships, and would also like to thank Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP for their assistance in obtaining an O1 visa.
